This goes out to the people that sai cast corruption ok. corruption is for bads. it’s GC is Dps loss, think abou it. cast it when u can’t cast anything else.
i’m spec’d 3/14/54 — for dps I really don’t see a point in having soul link or improved healthstone. So with those 3 extra saved I put it into my hit rating. That way its much easier to find armor that I’m willing to work with.
Yes, it does if you have noticed when you attack a target at a boss level your spells are EITHER missing OR some of the damage is being resisted, so you’re losing Dps. If you are hit capped at 17% none of that applies since the target will be getting hit with all the dmg. Note* since you have 15% hit from Gear alone, If your raids have a Moonkin Or a Shadow priest they give you a 3% hit buff so you’re fine and no their buffs don’t stack. though you would have 1% more hit than needed.

You need 17% hit to avoid missing a boss. If you cast something and it misses, this is obviously a DPS loss, so having 17% eliminates this. Various buffs can give you more hit rating however, such as a draenei’s aura (1%) or the Affliction talent Suppression (1/2/3%). If you can garuntee all of those buffs, you only need 13% hit. But it’s best to be hit capped anyway.

that’s retarded, haste is haste, and 3% faster casts translates into 3% more dps. it’s always good unless you’re bumping the GCD.
why do u need 17% hit i got 15% does it make big dif?

nop, what i mean is that having a total 100 haste rating is practically worthless, and 100 haste is not equal to 10% speed increase, i have 629 haste on my warlock which increases speed by 19.28 % or something.
In my personal experience i have seen that unless you got a lot of haste (500 +) you don’t see a noticeable improvement in your dps, so, if i had only 100 haste from a couple of items i wouldn’t even bother wearing those, i would replace em and go all for crit instead

having 100 haste or no haste at all is the same, haste is a stat that’s only worth it when you have 500 or more

soo i got top 1 on damage and dps so im leet
not bad but ur little dragon figurine is nuts I used some crits gear and my dps went from 5k to 7.5k dps

mmm not sure that’s true, i got the ‘majestic dragon figurine’ trinket which increases spirit by 18 ev time you cast stacking 10 times, combined that with talents to improve fel armor and the glyph of life tap and my dps went from 4.5k to 5.5, so spirit has worked a lot for me

I prefer to use spellstone instead of firestone, because of the 60 haste bonus. I also put some talent points in improved shadowbolt for the 5% crit debuff.
